Benaiah had a well child check this week. He is a happy, healthy and huge four month old! (16lbs 9 ozs - oh my!) We are so thankful! He is teething but still so sweet! Quick to smile and loves to talk and coo! He’s rolling over both ways and laughs a lot - especially at his sister! We adore him!

We received a bill in the mail today saying we owe $38,319. The insurance company only paid $3,000 on Benaiah’s $42,000 helicopter ride between hospitals and is saying the rest is our responsibility based on the maximum certificate having been met. (whatever that means) I called the insurance company immediately and was told that they could only give us generic information until Monday at 8am when the claims department opens - bummer!

Like we’ve said before we’re happy to pay on these bills until we die or depart this earth but not if we don’t have to. Please ask with us that this a mistake and the insurance will cover the rest. We’ve already paid $3,000 on legitimate bills and after filling out multiple applications for financial assistance through the hospital, we were told we didn’t qualify (primarily because we don’t have any other debt). So we’ll let you know more when we know. Til then, we’re just going to enjoy the priceless smiles and sounds of our healthy kiddos!
